Visiting the Long Beach Antique Market
Hello! I hope everyone is enjoying their 3-day weekend and Memorial Day. Because it’s a holiday, I’m going to try to keep this post short, so let’s get right into it!
I’ve been meaning to write about the Long Beach Antique Market for a while but haven’t gotten to it until now. So what exactly is it? To briefly describe it, it’s an antique lover’s dream!
Every fourth Sunday of the month, the Long Beach Veterans Stadium hosts what is essentially a massive swap meet full of antique vendors. I first went two months ago in March and I also went to the one this past weekend (May).
Anything you can think of is sold here. There’s furniture, art, plants, pins, dishware, clothing, books, and so much more.
Even if you don’t come in with intention of purchasing something, walking around and viewing everything is a treat. That’s another thing; you WILL be doing plenty of walking! I arrived at 9 am and left ten minutes before 12 pm.
I absolutely love antiques and antiquing but I don’t have the place for them. However, sometimes I do find little trinkets I can certainly make space for. I ended up purchasing a heart-shaped jewelry box for $5 and the cutest little shot glass for $1
I find most of their prices reasonable. Of course, some art and furniture are understandably higher priced.
Overall, visiting the Long Beach Antique Market is like a treasure hunt; you never know what you will find! Read on below to learn more about how you can visit.
