How to Spend a Day in Los Feliz

How to Spend a Day in Los Feliz

Hey ya’ll! Los Angeles is a big city with countless of neighborhoods to explore. Los Feliz is one of them. Here’s a short guide on how to spend the day in Los Feliz (and on a budget)!

  • Start Your Day off With Some Cuties Coffee.

Cuties Coffee is an LGBT friendly café that is technically in East Hollywood but still very close to Los Feliz. The café is a pastel wonderland and has an assortment of coffee, and most importantly for me; Tea! On Sundays, freshly baked donuts are available and parking is free. Cuties Coffee is located at 710 N Heliotrope Dr and is open Monday-Friday from 8AM to 4PM and 9AM-4PM on Saturdays and Sundays.

  • Take a Walk at Barnsdall Art Park

Barnsdall Art Park is an small oasis that has sweeping views of Los Angeles. The park is perfect for taking a break from the hustle and bustle of the city and for having a picnic. Parking is free and plentiful. The park is also home to the historic Hollyhock House and art galleries. Check out their website for address and hours.

  • Visit Otherwild

Otherwild is a chic boutique store known for their,“The Future is Female” shirt. Notice I said Visit Otherwild and not shop at Otherwild. That’s because this store is ridiculously expensive but also ridiculously unique. It has everything from houseware to zines (as seen above) and is definitely worth a visit to see all the curiosities they sell. Otherwild is located at 1768 N. Vermont Ave. Head to their website for hours and more.

  • End the Day Buying Books at Skylight Books

Do you have enough books? Probably so. Regardless, Skylight Books is an amazing indie bookstore that has every book your heart could possibly desire. They have frequent events so visit their website to see who will be around when you visit. Skylight Books is a few doors down from Otherwild and is located at 1818 North Vermont Avenue. They are open every day from 10 AM to 10 PM.

That’s all for my small guide to Los Feliz. Hope ya’ll enjoyed. Where in LA should I go to next?
