What's in My School Backpack

What's in My School Backpack

If you read my last post, I talked about some tips for being a successful student. This week, I want to discuss what I have in my backpack that also help me succeed. Some things I already mentioned in my other post, other things will be new. These are things I personally own and have tried so check out my list below! P.S. not everything I will talk about is pictured above but I will definitely link everything I can.

  • File folder-I invested in this inexpensive file folder because I was tired of carrying around a heavy binder! This has enough pockets for each of my classes and is very light weight. It will keep you organized as well!

  • Planner- In my last post, I recommended getting a planner to keep track of all the assignments you have to do. I find that HomeGoods, TJ Maxx, and Marshalls are great places to find cute inexpensive planners! The one above is from HomeGoods, and it was around $8 or less.

  • Notebook- I think it is wise to always carry around a notebook just in case. The cactus one above is from Target and was also less than $8.

  • Water bottle- hydration is key! Help save the planet by getting a reusable water bottle that will also keep your water cold for the entire day. I like this knock off Hydro Flask that is significantly cheaper.

  • Tissues- In my experience, most college classrooms don’t have tissue boxes. Supply your own! They will come in handy. You can get a pack of 4 of these small ones (pictured above) at the 99 Cent Store or DollarTree.

  • Hand sanitizer- Prevent yourself from getting sick by using hand sanitizer. As you all know, hand sanitizer is cheap and widely available. Get it at the 99 Cent Store or DollarTree when you buy your tissues.

  • Glasses-If you need them of course. I have reading glasses and it is difficult to be without them if I am reading or on the computer long, so don’t forget to pack them! The ones above are from EyeBuyDirect in the style Dinah. EyeBuyDirect is pretty cheap and If you are a student, you get a discount. The glasses cost me a total of $18.35!

  • Pens/pencils- If you are a student, please bring at least one writing utensil. I use this cute pink pencil pouch to store all my pens and highlighters.

  • Backpack- I used this large backpack all last year and it is very sturdy and spacious. However, I found that I don’t need as much space as last year so I bought this smaller backpack for this final semester.

  • Lunch bag-I recommend investing in a lunch bag if you want to bring your own food. I bought one a few years ago off Amazon and it is still going strong.

I hope this list helps you out and also, don’t forget to bring your school ID! You never know when you’ll need it while you’re on campus. Until next time!
