Spend Saturday With Me

Out of all the days of the week, I have to say that Saturday is my favorite! Like most adults, I work Monday-Friday. On the weekends, specifically on Saturday, I usually leave my house to see my friends or run some errands.

So today, I’m going to talk about the simple yet fun day I had this past Saturday with my cousin Janet. I headed to Seal Beach where she lives and from there, we went around the Huntington Beach area to do some shopping and thrifting.

I completely forgot to take photos of our day so bear with me, but I did make a TikTok :) Check it below before reading on to learn more!

  • Lunch

After I arrived in Seal Beach, we decided to get some lunch at none other than Chick-fil-A. We chose a location that was next to a Daiso (hint hint). We ate our meal in the car and then waited in-line to get inside of Daiso. FYI, the grilled nuggets are very underrated!

  • Daiso

It’s no secret that I absolutely LOVE Daiso. I go pretty frequently to my local store but I love scoping out new locations (items vary at every store). I didn’t really need anything but I opted to get Calpico (such a yummy drink!) and some Hi-Chew.

The location I specifically went to is located at 6468 Beach Blvd in Westminster. This is a smaller store than I am used to but they still had plenty to offer.

  • Salvation Army

After Daiso, it was time to do a little thrifting. Conveniently, there was a Salvation Army down the street. Located at 17362 Beach Blvd in Huntington Beach, this store is small but seemed to be in my eyes, well organized.

I ended up purchasing a monogrammed mug for $1 and a cottagecore-style purse for $6 (seen in my TikTok above). It was a successful trip but the day was not over yet!

  • Savers

When you think of a thrift store, you probably think of Goodwill and Salvation Army. But let me tell y’all, Savers is LIT. For one, it’s massive (they usually take over empty grocery stores). There was SO much to see it was overwhelming. They have so many cottagecore-inspired items and trinkets which I adore.

I usually do not thrift clothing but if you do, this is the spot for you. They have aisles and aisles of clothes. Savers has several locations in SoCal but the one I went to is at 9091 Garfield Ave in Fountain Valley. I walked away with nothing but my cousin did end up getting some cute items for her apartment.

Once we left Savers, we headed back to Seal Beach where we relaxed before I left to go back to the South Bay. It was a good day and I’m very happy with my two purchases.

I definitely want to thrift again soon and would love to find more treasures!

That’s all I have for today friends! Thanks for reading and if you have any thrifting spots around Southern California that you love, let me know! Bye for now.

XOXO
