My Top 4 Underrated Beauty Products

This past week was unusually hectic for me and as a result, I wanted to write a short and simple blog post. So, why not talk about beauty products I use that I don’t think get enough love?

Although I don’t wear makeup every day, my love for makeup and trying out new products continues to grow. Check out my TikTok below and read on to learn more about my top 4 underrated beauty products.

  1. Blue Mascara

This is something new I recently tried on myself but have been loving when I saw it on other people. Blue mascara, specifically on brown eyes and dark eyelashes, really makes your eyes pop! It’s subtle and elegant.

Although I have been using the L'Oreal Paris Voluminous Mascara in Cobalt Blue (which is widely available and affordable at any drugstore), I recently saw someone on TikTok using the higher-end BADgal BANG! Volumizing Mascara by Benefit Cosmetics in Blue.

There are other options available of course but I am really loving the L’Oreal mascara! It gave my lashes an immense amount of volume and they looked good and stayed blue all day.

2. Sol Glow Oil in “Champagne”

I don’t know if it’s just me, but personally, I like my body to look shiny and glittery. How I achieve that is by using glow oil by SOL. It’s made by Colourpop so it’s not only good quality but also affordable. Using a buffer brush, I pour a little oil (a little goes a long way) and rub it on my chest and shoulders.

When the sun hits your skin, a beautiful glow (like Edward Cullen) can be seen. A mini size, like the one pictured above, costs $10 while a larger size is $16. I love the shade “champagne” due to its neutral finish. However, they have various other colors including some that have a tan and gold finish.

3. Tarte Highlighter in “Stunner”

Years ago, I bought this opalescent highlighter because it was on sale at ULTA. Little did I know it would become one of my all-time favorite highlighters. It’s not as blinding as others; it’s subtle but it’s a universally flattering shade.

When mine broke, it took me a while but I did eventually repurchase this $29 product. To see what it looks like, make sure to check out the TikTok above. P.S. I use this inexpensive brush to swipe this stuff on my face!

4. Pacifica Alight Clean Foundation

This is probably one of if not my favorite foundation ever and I have never heard anyone talk about it. Pacifica is a vegan and cruelty-free drugstore brand you can get at ULTA and Target. For $16, this foundation works like a dream and has a high-end feel.

I don’t wear foundation every day ( I prefer tinted moisturizers) but if I do, this is what I use. I do realize it’s a little pricier than your typical drugstore foundation but trust me, it’s worth it! It works well on dry skin and it is not patchy or cakey. The shade 33NL is a perfect match for me and I use any sponge to apply.

Unfortunately, this foundation does not seem to be available in-stores ( I bought it online from Target) but if you are looking for something that is clean, cruelty-free, and less expensive than a foundation you would get from Sephora, definitely give this one a try! You can also buy it on Pacifica’s website. With 30 different shades, I would say it’s pretty inclusive for all skin tones.

In the selfie above, I am wearing the mascara and highlighter so you can see how natural and subtle it looks!

Alright guys that’s all I have for today. Thank you for reading and see you all next week!

XOXO
