Five Beauty Products I’ve Been Loving

Hello and happy Gemini season!

It’s been quite a while since I last wrote about anything beauty-related. Before the pandemic, I used to wear makeup pretty much every day for school or for work.

Now, I only wear makeup on the weekends or whenever I have plans to leave my home. I, however, still buy beauty products (of course) and relish my time getting ready.

Today, I’m going to discuss five items that I’ve been using in my beauty routine that I think are worth the money. Everything will be linked below to purchase!

If you love sweet and floral smells like me, then this scent by Sol de Janeiro is for you! It combines jasmine and dragon fruit to create something that smells like candy. It’s very long-lasting (even through sweat) and is very well priced.

This highlighter comes in a neutral shade that will look gorgeous on any skin color with or without makeup. Since I purchased this at the Glossier store in March, I haven’t been reaching for any other highlighter in my kit. It gives you a natural glow that I absolutely love. Glossier also sells two other shades but I personally liked Quartz the best.

I bought this on a whim because the packaging intrigued me and I was not disappointed. Here’s the thing; I’m not a big fan of eyeshadow. I like to keep it simple and neutral. I add a little shine to my eye at the most.

This liquid eyeshadow helps me achieve an easy put-together look. I dab a little bit on my eyelids and then blend it in with an eye shadow brush. Sometimes, I add some glitter and voila, I’m done! As seen in the photo above, they have several other shades besides “Nearly Neutral” which is a pinky beige shade.

I of course had to get the matching lip gloss for the eyeshadow above! The color I purchased, Nearly Neutral, is the first gloss pictured on the left. This gloss is not sticky and is incredibly hydrating. The color is also not as pink as it seems; it tends to melt in and enhance my natural lip color.

I received this mascara from Boxycharm and had low expectations. I have long and heavy eyelashes and often struggle to find a mascara I like. This mascara, however, blew me away.

It has a very small and detailed wand that allows me to hit each and every one of my lashes. Moreover, it does hold pretty well. All in all, I was very impressed by Addison Rae! So much so that I purchased Item Beauty’s concealer and also love it. BTW, Item Beauty is clean, which is a major plus!

I’m wearing every single product I mentioned in this post (yes, including the fragrance mist) in this selfie above!
