Hi!

The Leslie Life is a blog dedicated to living in Los Angeles and travel. Enjoy!

A Day in Orange County

A Day in Orange County

If I’m being honest, I largely prefer Orange County over Los Angeles. LA can be overwhelming and parking is almost always a nightmare. Orange County, on the other hand, has historical charm and feels much more low-key.

Below is a short fun-filled itinerary for anyone who is looking for something to do in the OC or for anyone who is wanting to explore the area. A majority of the places mentioned will be in downtown Anaheim, a place that is largely overshadowed by the big D (Disneyland).

Enjoy!

  • Lunch at Urth Caffe in Orange

Yes, I am indeed a basic b**** and love me some Urth Caffe! This is always a go-to for various reasons; they have a large menu, great ambiance, and yummy desserts and drinks. Expect long lines and overall craziness at any location you go to. This Urth Caffe in Old Towne Orange is particularly beautiful as it’s housed in a gorgeous brick building that was built in 1888.

Urth Caffe Orange is located at 100 W Chapman Ave, Orange, CA 92866. Free parking is widely available in the surrounding neighborhood.

  • Ice skating at The Rinks Anaheim Ice

After eating lunch at Urth Caffe, head to nearby downtown Anaheim for some ice skating! The Rinks Anaheim ICE is nothing special; it’s your typical ice rink but its location is everything. It’s near a number of businesses and restaurants, including the Anaheim Packing District.

The Rinks Anaheim ICE is located at 300 W Lincoln Ave, Anaheim, CA 92805. Skating with the skates rental is $19. Check their website for their public skating schedule. They have their own Parking lot that is free for two hours.

  • Dessert at Okayama Kobo Bakery & Cafe

Okayama Kobo was recommended on TikTok and I’m happy to say it did not disappoint! This bakery & cafe sells the cutest pastries that are delicate and delicious. Pictured below is a kobokuma, a bear-shaped pastry with chocolate and custard. I actually told my friend Jenny that I wanted another one after I finished eating it.

Tip: Okayama Kobo is open Tuesday-Sunday from 8 am-4 pm. Jenny and I got there at 3 pm and there were very few pastries and a long line. Definitely go early or there might not be any left!

Okayama Kobo Bakery & Cafe can be found at 155 W Center Street Promenade, Anaheim, CA 92805. They validate parking for the first 2 hrs if you park in the lot that is directly behind them.

  • RARE by Goodwill

RARE by Goodwill is one of the best thrift stores I’ve been to. A majority of the clothes are lightly used or have tags still on them. I’ve scored some great finds here and recommend it to all my secondhand shop lovers out there!

RARE by Goodwill is located at 411 W. Broadway C-H, Anaheim, CA 92805. Limited street parking and paid parking are available (PS this is near Okayama Kobo so take advantage of the validated parking).

  • Pearson Park

Next to the ice rink, Okayama Kobo and RARE is Pearson Park. This place is a gorgeous nature-filled reserve smack dab in downtown Anaheim. It has shade, trails, and everything you might need for a perfect day at the park. Even better? There are a number of stunning historical homes in the neighborhood (pictured below). Take a walk or take a seat, either way, this is a place to relax.

Pearson Park is located at 400 N Harbor Blvd, Anaheim, CA 92805. Street Parking is free and plentiful.
