My Summer Beach Essentials
Summer is here! The days are longer and full of sunshine…well sort of. But regardless, I wanted to make a small list of things I find crucial for a beach day.
These are things I think make summer even better than it already is and I’m looking forward to spending more time at the beach! Check out my list below.
Cat Eye sunglasses: Sunglasses are essential for any summer day. I, like Elton John, have an array of sunglasses. However, Cat Eye sunglasses are my go to for when I want to feel extra fabulous. I got these, pictured above, from Forever 21 for under $10. Although the pink ones above don’t seem to be available anymore, I also bought these studded Cat Eye glasses.
Tinted lip balm: Listen, this is just my opinion but I don’t believe in wearing a full face of makeup to the beach. To each their own right? However, I do like wearing a waterproof mascara (not pictured because I have yet to find one I truly love) and a tinted lip balm. This one is from Clinique in the shade “Black Honey”. It keeps your lips smooth and hydrated with a slight red tint. At $18.50, I do find it relatively expensive, however I got the sample above for free using my points from being a Beauty Insider at Sephora.
Tinted Sunscreen: As I mentioned above, I don’t like wearing makeup at the beach. What I do like wearing is sunscreen. My favorite sunscreen for my face is this tinted one by Australian Gold . For $15, you get a non greasy formula with SPF 50. Perfect for those long days at the beach.
A speaker: I went years without having a portable speaker to take with me to the beach. What was I thinking? Laying in the hot sand listening to music makes summer 100% better. This SunnyLife speaker is tiny but mighty (just like me) and is also a radio!
A towel: last but not least is a simple but cute towel. Stay dry but look fab while doing so. The teal striped towel pictured above is from Target and is under $10.
