Shop Miss A Review

Shop Miss A Review

Last month, beauty Youtuber Zabrena posted a video reviewing makeup from the site Shop Miss A. This sparked my interest because Shop Miss A sells makeup that is mostly $1. Zabrena’s review of the makeup was positive. So of course, I had to check it out for myself!

If you have read my previous post about makeup, you know I believe you shouldn’t have to spend loads of money on designer products. Everything pictured above (except for the sponge which was $1.88) cost $1. I have spent a few weeks trying out the products and honestly, I have been delighted with the quality! I will list and link everything I bought below and give my thoughts on each of the products. Keep in my mind that Shop Miss A has a variety of brands they sell on their site but I chose to purchase products from their own in-house brand, AOA.

  • AOA Makeup Remover Wipes - Rose Water-$1: These makeup wipes are not as soft as the Neutrogena wipes but they still do the job of taking off all of your makeup! They also smell lovely and exactly like roses.

  • AOA Fat Lash Mascara - Black-$1: This mascara does not give you crazy dramatic lashes but, it does lengthen and separate your lashes pretty nicely. I wear it on days I am looking for a more “no-makeup-makeup look”.

  • Mochi Wonder Blender Cut - Teardrop-$1.88: This is the most expensive thing I purchased and it’s 100% worth it. This sponge is so soft and applies the AOA cream blushes I purchased perfectly!

  • AOA Hush Cream Blush in Cupid & Charm-$1: As I said above, these go on best using a sponge. They are highly pigmented and give you a beautiful flushed look. Both are gorgeous colors. Cupid is more pink, while charm is more rosy.

  • AOA Lip POP Gloss in Heartthrob & Daredevil-$1: These lip glosses are pigmented and not sticky! Heartthrob is pink toned while Daredevil is red toned. I like wearing these when I don’t want to wear lipstick but I still want a pop of color.

  • AOA Fruity Pop Gloss-Peach-$1: Just a simple clear gloss that is not sticky and makes the lips look juicy. Also smells exactly like Japanese peach candy!

  • AOA Oh Honey Lip Oil- Strawberry-$1: This lip oil hydrates your lips and smells like strawberry candy. It also makes your lips glossy but feels lighter than lip gloss.

  • AOA Sugar Lips Scrub- Rose-$1: I used this on my dry lips and it left them very soft. All you do is squeeze a small amount on your finger, rub on your lips, and use a warm towel or cotton round to wipe off the excess.

  • AOA Go Brow Mascara - Dark Brown-$1: The wand that comes with this brow mascara is a little big and I love it. It fills the few sparse bits I have in my dark/thick eyebrows.

  • AOA Perfect BB Cream- Light-$1: I LOVE this BB cream. It gives you a light and natural finish. It matches my skin tone pretty well and It goes on well with either a brush or sponge.

  • AOA Wonder Skin - Illuminating Primer-$1: Besides the BB cream, I think this is my favorite product from this haul. It gives you beautiful dewy skin. I don’t even wear a highlighter when I use it because my skin is already glowing.

  • AOA Perfect Pressed Powder- Ivory-$1: This is definitely not as good as my favorite Clinique powder but it still sets your makeup and blends your blush if needed!

  • F13: Blush Brush-$1: Unfortunately, this brush came bent. However, it does still work, and applied my blush pretty well. I will definitely be using it regardless!

  • AOA Velour Mousse Eyeshadow- Holiday-$1: This eyeshadow is a beautiful champagne color. I loved it. It was not dusty and was very creamy. I highly recommend it.

  • AOA Perfect Eye Primer- Original-$1: My eyelids, along with the rest of my face, are pretty dry. This primer helped hydrate my eyelids and also made my eyeshadow look less flaky!

  • The AOA Diamond Lip Gloss in Posh-$1: is a stunning lip gloss that is a pinkish color and has some glitter in it. The glitter is very subtle so it doesn’t look cheap!

  • AOA Dewy Duo Chrome Highlighter in Silk $1: This is a beautiful cream highlight that is champagne colored. It gives my face a beautiful dewy glow.

*Update: this product is no longer available

In the photo below, I am wearing a full face (except for my eyeliner and primer) of AOA makeup. I will list all the products I am wearing!

I hope y’all find this review useful! As I said above, Shop Miss A sells a variety of brands but I found that AOA had the best reviews. They also sell jewelry, accessories, skincare, and brushes for mostly $1. Only a few products are more than a buck. I would definitely try this site out if you are looking for makeup products to experiment with!
