My March 2020 Favorites

My March 2020 Favorites

Welcome back to another week of quarantine and another blog post! Today is all about products I bought and tested for the first time in March.

If you need a little retail therapy whilst at home, I got you! This list is short and is a mix of beauty and lifestyle products that are affordable. Without further ado, here are my favorites from the month of March!

  • Pretty Fresh Hyaluronic Acid Tinted Moisturizer by Colourpop: I absolutely love tinted moisturizer. My go-to for the past few years is this $33 one from bareMinerals. When I saw Colourpop had released their own for a fraction of the price, I knew I had to try it! This formula is extremely hydrating and looks very natural on the skin. It also does a good job of hiding any redness and other imperfections. At only $14, this is definitely worth a try, especially if you are not a fan of foundation. My one complaint is that it does NOT have SPF. However, I use my favorite sunscreen under it and that solves the problem. They have a multitude of shades making it a product anyone can purchase. I bought this in-store at ULTA, but you can also buy it on Colourpop’s website. I have the shade LIGHT 6W and it matches my complexion beautifully.

  • Pretty Fresh Hyaluronic Acid Setting Mist by Colourpop: Along with the tinted moisturizer, I also bought its matching setting spray. I have been loyal to Mario Badescu facial sprays and wanted to try something different. This setting spray is amazing! It freshens up your face and makes it feel hydrated (perfect for dry skin). At $12, it is the same price as Mario Badescu facial sprays. Get this at ULTA or on Colourpop.com.

  • Blush Stix in “Mic Drop” by Colourpop: This is the last Colourpop product on the list, I promise! This cream stick blush is $8, highly pigmented, and easy to use. The shade “Mic Drop”, is a bright hot pink color. A little goes a long way; rub a little bit on your fingers and onto your cheeks for a bright fresh-faced look. I love cream blushes for any occasion and for travel. You can also get this at ULTA or on Colourpop.com. If this color is a little too intense for you, they have several other shades that are a bit more toned down!

  • Mega Matte Nude Lipstick in “Single Af” by Morphe: It’s no secret that I love lipstick. I have two bags filled to the brim with lip products. I try not to buy so many anymore but the heart wants what the heart wants. When I saw this nude shade, I knew I had to have it. It’s lovely and though it looks mauve, it goes on as a peachy shade on my lips. It’s perfect for work and now, for sitting in your room. You can get this for $10 at ULTA.

  • Logitech Mouse: Knowing I was going to be spending a lot more time in my room and on my computer, I decided to invest in a mouse. No, I didn’t have one before and haven’t had one since I got rid of my desktop computer in 2008. I bought a small pink one from Target for $20 and It’s made playing The Sims 4 and browsing the web from my desk a lot easier. P.S. I bought this $1 mousepad from ROMWE and it’s both high quality and cute!

  • Face Mask: Like the mousepad I mentioned, I bought the bear face mask pictured above on ROMWE for $1. At the time I purchased it in early March, things were not as bad as they are now. I purchased it merely as a precaution and because it was only a dollar. Well, I completely regret not buying a few more for friends and family because they are now completely sold out. However, you can buy masks from Etsy and make your own (I’m not a DIY person, hence why I bought one). Wear a mask for your safety and to reduce the spread of germs!

That’s all I have for you guys! I hope you are all healthy and hanging in there as we carry on with our lives from home. Sending much love and see you all next week!
